Madison's Arabic....

Madison received a call today from one of her friends from her Arabic pre-school. The little girl misses having Madison around and just HAD to talk to her. The great thing about it is that she only speaks Arabic...so, Madison is made to use her Arabic! We heard her on the phone..it made our hearts so happy to hear her speak. The teachers at the pre-school said she only used Arabic at the pre-school but she would never really use it in front of us. We had to capture some of the conversation on video for you to hear. (The phone call came while she was getting out of the shower so just nevermind her naked self in her towel! :)

Stacey, that is so cool! It is really so beautiful to see the way children can soak up a language. And what a priceless gift she will have to use for the rest of her life. Way to go Madison!!

I came across your blog from POH and it is so encouraging to me! My husband and I are preparing to move to N. Africa within the next year, and are excited about learning the language, and even more excited that our daughter will grow up knowing another language. Your daughter is so precious and the video made us excited to get over there soon!

Wow! It's just amazing how kids can just learn something as hard as another language with such ease. She sounds so beautiful when she speaks. I thought that it was cute when she asked you about "birthday," she just sounds so sweet! I know that one day in the future knowing that language will come in handy. It's great to know another language, and arabic is certainly a hard one to master. I'm praying for you guys and your language! Miss you all!!!
